My Time at Jarilo by Mark Harrison
I have now been at Jarilo Design for 5 years and I am a Front-End Web Developer. When I first started here though, I came as an apprentice on the eBay team. I worked on the eBay side for just over 4 years, and in that time, I worked with hundreds of different customers selling all different products and services. If you can think of a product, I have done an eBay store about it!
Moving onto the Web team was a big learning curve for me as there is a lot more to building websites compared to building eBay stores. I have learnt a lot over the past year and I am really enjoying my time here. Here are some of my favourite sites that I have built:
Before I started working here, I studied at Mosslands School which is based on the Wirral. I then continued there for another two years of sixth form to do my A Levels. During sixth form I really enjoyed the Web Design course in my second year, it was then that I wanted to follow that up as a career path when I left.
The range of different work that we do here at Jarilo always keeps each day interesting and a little bit different from the last. That mixed with the relaxed office style makes it a really nice place to work! well in the office! A long-term goal of mine is to get into property and I have recently bought a house that myself and a friend are renovating and getting ready to sell. This has been a really good experience so far and I have learnt a lot in a short space of time.
